I'm Wishing

Happy 11/11 friends.

What a lucky day.

I have the day off and I have big plans to watch Gilmore Girls all day and work on projects.

So, make your wishes...all day long.

p.s. My Sister-in-law and kids are at DisneyLand today. They just happened to be at Snow White's wishing well (my favorite place) at 11:11 and they made a wish for me.

Regrets

We have been meaning to watch Ratatouille for a really long time.

We finally got around to it tonight.

Bono Baby needed a movie night.

He had a manicure today and pampering makes him moody.

We LOVED it.

Do-Dads and What-Nots

I have been busy working in the fashion jewelry department at Macy's.

I wear mostly vintage jewelry so this is a new adventure for me.

My picks are these Betsey Johnson Glitter Rose Studs

and these Fossil crystal accented bumble bee's.
Oh, the joys of working retail.
I feel like all I do is get "the wants".

Dan Picked A Winner

I'm sorry to bring the big news to you a bit late.

My new job is taking some time to wear in.

I'm Hope I'm Turning Into Her

It is day five of my gratitude week and today is all about my Mommy.

My Mother is my best friend.

I hope to be just like her one day.

Thursday Date

My Daniel took me to The Museum of History and Industry today.

We wanted to see the exhibit on The Arts and Crafts Movement in the Pacific Northwest.

It was a lovely afternoon.

I was especially taken by the photographs and Seattle paraphernalia.

I'm a sucker for sailor photo's.

Dear Wish List

I think these Emily Martin hot and cold items are so sweet and useful.
I wish I had them to take with me tomorrow for my first day at work.
Too CUTE.

This Week's Treasure Hunt Finds

I love Miss Moppet's little confused face.

We've been reading this little book to Bono Baby at bedtime.

Is that strange?

Fabric for future projects.

Scented drawer liner. The scent has faded but the print is lovely.

Dan found another typewriter to add to his collection.
Some of them may go up in the shop sometime soon.
He doesn't want to be the crazy poet with a huge typewriter collection.

I forgot to show you what I found last weekend.
I'll work on that, if your interested.

The Film Portal

Day four of my gratitute week and I must tell you all that I am grateful for movies.

Movies are my escape.

A film can take me back in time.

I can watch an old favorite and feel like I'm with the person I first saw it with.

The first movie I saw in the movie theater was Snow White.

I saw it with my parents when I was very small.

The first movie I went to, without an adult, was Girls Just Want To Have Fun.

I thought I was so cool.

I have so many favorite movies with such wonderful memories attached to them.

I'm always making lists in my head of movies worthy of seeing in the theater, Netflix worthy films, and favorites I'd like to watch again.

I limit my DVD collection to only my favorites.

Movies make me happy.

William And My Daniel Have Been Busy

My husband and his buddy William put out an online poetry journal semi annually.

I'm super excited about this one because one of my photographs was selected as the cover photo for the current fall issue.

(Don't tell anyone but I think I have an "in" with the editors.)

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety-Jig

Day three of my gratitude week is all about my family.

I have an amazing family.

They don't like for me to say much about them on this blog so I'll just say, I am very lucky.

Sorry about the wedding photo, it was the only photo I could find with us all together.

Many of you probably already know this but Bono Baby is our family doggie.

He was given to my Mommy when my Daddy passed away.

We all love him very much.

He won't be staying with us in Washington forever but we like to pretend that he will.

He is a very special puppy.

He always makes everything better.

I will say this, I am most happy when I am closest to my family.

They, like Bono Baby, make everything better.

The Men In My Life

Day two of my gratitude week is dedicated to the men who are important to me.

My brother Benner, my Dad CJ, my Daddy, and my Father-in-law all mean so much to me.

I really know that they love me and I feel so blessed.

My Daddy would tell me that I needed to keep my feet in holy places and go where the eagles are. I kind of listened and would walk out of the house while he was telling me, "Fritzi, remember who you are."

When I look at Dan, I know that he is my "Eagle". He is my whole world and I love him so much. I like to think that the other men in my life were such great examples to me so that I would go out into the world and find a man like my Daniel.

Gratitude Project

The beginning of November just reminds me that the end of the year is coming fast.
I have so many things to be thankful for and sometimes I forget that.
So, I'm having a gratitude week.
Everyday I'll post about something I am grateful for.

Day One

I am thankful for my eyesight.
(When I was 23 I was diagnosed with a condition called Pseudotumor Cerebri.
My body produces too much spinal fluid and it puts pressure on my optic nerves. One of my biggest fears is loosing my eyesight, the other is not being able to have children. This summer, I've been working on getting my body healthy so we can try to get pregnant. Not only am I thankful for my eyesight, but I am also thankful for modern medicine for helping me keep my eyesight so one day if we are able to get pregnant, I'll be able to see our baby.)
